The Rifle Police Department and Garfield County Peer Support Group invite you to a Free Line of Duty Death Training on Thursday, April 17, from 08:00 to 17:00 at the CMC Auditorium (3695 Airport Rd, Rifle, CO 81650).
This vital training covers critical response protocols, family support, departmental coordination, media relations, and honors ceremonies—ensuring agencies can respond with professionalism, compassion, and respect. Led by experienced professionals, the program will help departments provide unwavering support to fallen officers' families and colleagues while upholding the highest standards of tradition and dignity.
The day will begin with a PowerPoint presentation on Colorado Fallen Hero, covering who they are, what they do, and how to prepare for a line of duty death as an agency and as individuals. We will conclude with a hands-on tabletop exercise to reinforce key concepts.
