Wives of First Responders Community GroupWhat is our group? Every week, early fall through late spring, Mission Hills hosts a group of almost 50 women who share a unique bond: they are all the wife of a First Responder. It is a one-of-a-kind group that bonds over challenging schedules, concerns for their husband’s safety, and learning to support one another, and their husband. These women have walked through all of life together, the highs and the lows. They have celebrated new life with surprise baby showers, enjoyed fun crafts days, and are actively pouring into their marriages each week. They have provided meals for each other during hard times, collected gift cards to help when a family is in need, and have walked with each other through great loss and grief. Our Wives of First Responders Bible Study and Community Group is the only one of its kind in the state of Colorado (that we have been able to tell…), and registration is currently open for the new semester. You do not need to attend Mission Hills to join us (as most of the women attend other churches). The challenges faced by agency heads and departments to honorably memorialize officers who have died in the line of duty, and care for their families and department personnel are daunting. The sad reality is there will be more, and your agency could be next.
The Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation (CFHF) will bring together multi-agency professionals with a variety of specialized skills to respond,and assist any organization with a memorial service befitting a hero as needed.
