LE Challenge Application
National Law Enforcement Challenge 2014 Application Now Available
If your agency participates in the National Law Enforcement Challenge (NLEC) it will be judged in the Colorado Law Enforcement Challenge through CACP. The top agencies will be recognized at the Annual Conference in Keystone, June 9-12, 2014.
The NLEC is a national traffic safety award program for law enforcement agencies that recognizes and rewards the best overall traffic safety programs. By targeting major safety priorities such occupant protection, impaired driving, speeding, and state/local issues, the NLEC works to strengthen and support enforcement and education efforts nationwide.
Information about the challenge, a “How-To” Guide, and the online application can all be found on the IACP NLEC webpage.
To be considered for the 2014 awards, submissions must be completed by May 1, 2014.
If you have any questions about the new format, please contact Mandy Giordano via email or call 703-647-7263.
The challenges faced by agency heads and departments to honorably memorialize officers who have died in the line of duty, and care for their families and department personnel are daunting. The sad reality is there will be more, and your agency could be next.
The Colorado Line of Duty Death Response Team (COLODDRT) will bring together multi-agency professionals with a variety of specialized skills to respond, and assist any organization with a memorial service befitting a hero as needed.
