"Sextortion: The Hidden Pandemic" Free Film Screening and Expert Panel Q&A - Parker Police Department, September 19

Sextortion: The Hidden Pandemic is a documentary coming out in October, investigating the world of online grooming and sextortion--a present-day reality for one in seven children online. By unsealing the federal case of a top-gun pilot with hundreds of victims, and interviewing survivors and their parents, this true-crime piece exposes an often-overlooked crime against children, the tactics of online predators, and the voices of parents and law enforcement poised to stop online child exploitation in its tracks.

The producers have partnered with the Department of Homeland Security, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the DOJ US Attorney’s Office to highlight this issue.

The target audience is the general public aged 10+, law enforcement, counselors, and educators. Law enforcement and educators will received access to free training materials after the screening.

The Parker Police Department, the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Spotlight Docs are bringing this showing to the Denver metro area on September 19, at PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue Parker, CO 80138 at 7pm. The event is free, but tickets are required.
