Resources for "Slow Down, Move Over Awareness Day" - October 19, 2020

 On Wednesday, October 14, AAA Colorado will launch an earned and social media campaign to raise awareness of Colorado’s recently strengthened “Slow Down, Move Over” law. To that end, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis has declared Monday, October 19 “Slow Down, Move Over Awareness Day” in the State of Colorado, to align with the national awareness day on this issue. Social media content shared in line with this campaign will be organized under the hashtag #SlowDownMoveOverCO. 

October is Distracted Driving Awareness Month so this comes at the perfect time. Help spread the word!

AAA Colorado will be sending out a press release on the morning of Wednesday, October 14 – with a follow-up on Monday, October 19 (“Slow Down, Move Over Awareness Day”). In the intervening five days, they'll be promoting general Slow Down, Move Over awareness on social media and teasing the proclamation from the gov.
